Brooke Degnan

Equipped with a deep understanding of the body from her years as a ballet dancer and fitness trainer, Brooke knows what it takes to make the transformations her clients desire. Whether it’s building cardio endurance or focusing on building stronger muscles, clients love her attention to form and pushing them to their max. “Fusion’s method is the answer for all of us - providing a solid emphasis on forming lean muscle, pure devotion to creating a strong core, and an upbeat, fast-paced class to maintain an elevated heart rate - you can’t go wrong.” Imitating her amazing form provides constant motivation to keep moving during class, and Brooke’s sense of humor makes the time move quickly throughout her hour-long, full body workouts.

Sadie Durbin

“On our mats, we’re all working towards the same goal of improving ourselves so we can better contribute to our families, jobs and communities… it’s so much more than just a workout.”
 
A powerhouse not to be taken lightly, Sadie rocks our studios with her tough coaching and even tougher moves - but clients love a ‘Sadie class’ to strengthen more than just their bodies. “The passion, positivity, and clarity I gain from our studios is unmatchable and makes me thrive,” she says, “I couldn’t imagine my life without this community of women who support each other without judgment.” Following her son’s diagnosis of leukemia, she witnessed the full effect of such a supportive community - and knows our clients come to Fusion not only to get the best workout in KC, but as an addition to, and to gain encouragement for, their lives.
 
 

Shauna Pierce

Shauna’s passion for leading a class full of clients stems from her years as a middle school teacher - helping people change their outlooks from negative to positive is what inspires her most. Shauna’s energy spreads throughout the room and she loves seeing clients’ everyday dedication to bettering themselves. From her killer music (she loves a good Throwback Thursday full of old school R&B) to her beautiful posture & form, Shauna’s classes will challenge your body and strengthen your confidence as you keep up with her creative moves.
 
 

Darby Brender

The creator and owner of our amazing Fusion community, Darby still loves teaching and taking classes every day. Building her own mix of cardio and unique toning moves to get the job done in just one hour, Darby still loves to pull out ‘old school Fusion’ in some of her classes to seriously focus on the core and creating long, lean muscle tone. Known for her loud, wild music and cool moves in the studio, Darby inspires clients to be healthier and better versions of themselves, focusing on how good it feels to move our bodies and get stronger with each class. “If we don’t challenge ourselves, we don’t change - Fusion is all about pushing past our comfort zones to see what lies beyond the walls we’ve built and are scared to climb over. That’s where our full potential gets sparked!”

Alex Muesenfechter

Our own Ironman competitor, Alex has trained extensively in nutrition and endurance training and brings her love of challenging her own limits to clients at Fusion. Teaching regular classes as well as being involved in our Fusion Run program catering to long distance runners, Alex has the knowledge our clients need. She’s also passionate about educating the next generation, especially in city schools, about the importance of a healthy diet: “it benefits the entire community to ensure kids are offered their basic educational and nutritional needs.” As for her impressive Ironman experience - she plans to do another, craving more of the “self-discovery in realizing that I can push through my mental and physical challenges.”

Joscelyn Gann

Hugely passionate about helping others find their own strength from the years she has spent building her own, Jos brings her heart and soul to every class and client. Her dedicating energy in classes and our AmpCamp program radiates her love of fitness as a way to challenge ourselves, be stronger than yesterday, and push past our self-made limitations. AmpCamp coaching close to her heart, she teaches clients about the importance of pushing through struggles - whatever they may be - coming out on the other side, she says, exposes our weaknesses, rips open battles scars we need to heal and forces us to be the very strongest that we can be. Jos stresses the importance of being grateful each day for our healthy bodies by taking care of them through fitness, nutrition, and self appreciation. “I firmly believe the strength and discipline cultivated in our studios translates to real life growth - fitness is about so much more than skinny jeans or a number on the scale.”
