TESTIMONIALS - ALICIA

"Fusion is my therapist, my anger management, my sauna, my girl time, my yoga, where I learn to believe in myself every moment in my struggle and every moment of my success; it's where I laugh, cry, hug, celebrate, PUSH THROUGH on these terrible days and kick ass on those great days." Alicia, 25

After much deep thought and a few days of thinking about how to describe what Fusion has done for me, this is what I have come up with: I have been going to Fusion for a little over a year and a half now. I remember my first class with Katie Hirleman – I stopped three times and thought I was going to get sick. My son had just turned a year old – let me emphasize, I was only 23 years old, had always been in good shape and involved in athletics of some kind or another – and for lack of a better word, that first class kicked my ass! There is no other way to describe it.

I was sad because I didn’t feel like I did well, embarrassed that I couldn’t get through the workout, and let down. But little did I know it, that night I was introduced to another universe. Had I only known then how incredible this would be for me, my life, my soul, my happiness! It’s hard to start new things, it is SO hard to get up and workout when you’d rather relax after a long day of work, or even get up before the sun is up when everyone is still comfy in their beds. But I began to ask myself, what is it that I’m doing for my LIFE? This ONE life that I have to live? I didn’t think this way before I came to Fusion – I was living a normal life with a child, almost married and working a normal job. But because of Fusion, I now think this way everyday. What I did to change my life after that terribly challenging class with Katie, was KEEP GOING. And I have been going ever since that day of January 17, 2013.

This studio is nothing less than my happy home away from home. I mean this wholeheartedly: Fusion is my therapist, my anger management, my sauna, my girl time, my yoga, where I learn to believe in myself every moment in my struggle and every moment in my success; it is where I laugh, cry, hug, celebrate, PUSH THROUGH on those terrible days and kick ass on those great days. It is so much more than just a fitness studio. It’s a soul-cleansing plethora of diverse instructors, classes, techniques, people – and it is always changing, keeping it new and fresh.

As much as I try to explain Fusion in words, it is difficult unless you have gone. It is where I found myself again, where I found my soul and where I learned to LOVE and APPRECIATE my body more than I ever have. I truly don’t know what I would do without it. So if you’re sitting there saying to yourself that you want to/need to make a change – go to Fusion, believe in yourself every moment of every day and through every minute of your workout! One day, you will look in the mirror and see a changed person. I am changed because of Fusion. I am stronger (inside and out), happier (inside and out), sexier (inside and out), and most importantly, I believe in myself – and for that, I am forever thankful.
